The Magician

Stephen Fasano, known as The Magician, is a Belgian DJ and producer from Namur, active since 2005. After co-founding the influential electronic-pop duo Aeroplane in 2007, he launched his solo career in 2010, quickly gaining global recognition with his multi-platinum remix of Lykke Li’s “I Follow Rivers” in 2011. 

Signed to Parlophone/Warner in 2014, he released “Sunlight” featuring Years & Years, a top 10 hit across Europe and Australia. That same year he launched Potion Records, supporting releases from artists like Fabich, The Aston Shuffle, Just Kiddin, Aevion, and more. The label relaunched in 2020 with Unity Group. His track “Shy” went gold, and he later signed to Sony, releasing collaborations with Julian Perretta, TCTS, Hamza, and Ebenezer. As a remixer, he's reworked tracks for Clean Bandit, Polo & Pan, Vladimir Cauchemar, Sebastien Tellier, Tom Grennan, Boston Bun, and Years & Years. 

His long-running “Magic Tapes” series on SoundCloud, now over 100 editions, highlights exclusive music from around the globe. He has performed at major festivals and venues including Tomorrowland, Coachella, EDC Las Vegas, Warung Brazil, Ushuaïa Ibiza, CRSSD San Diego, Hideout Croatia, Printworks London, and Output and Elsewhere in Brooklyn, where he held a five-year residency. 

In 2024, The Magician released his first full album, VOYAGE, with tracks produced by Samaran and pianist Sofiane Pamart, and visuals crafted by Werlen Meyer Studio.
